George Lucas burst onto the scene in 1977 with what is now called Episode IV in the Star Wars saga, and our lives have never been the same. We’ve been cheering for our heroes and booing our favorite bad guys to the tune of John Williams’ famous score through many more episodes. Now you can see that original Star Wars blockbuster again on the big screen.
For those new to Star Wars: A New Hope, here’s a brief synopsis of the plot. Young farm boy Luke Skywalker is thrust into a galaxy of adventure when he intercepts a distress call from the captive Princess Leia. The event launches him on a daring mission to rescue her from the clutches of Darth Vader and the evil Empire.
This is bound to be a fun party for young and old, so bring your light sabers and come as your favorite character. We’ll have a photo booth and maybe even some fun surprises.
Space fantasy/adventure. Rated PG. Made in 1977. Runtime 121 minutes.
