Do you remember vocalist Stella Heath, who brought a stunning performance of her Billie Holiday Project to the Soper Reese Theatre a few years ago? We are happy to announce that Stella is returning, this time with a new partner, pianist Ben Levin.
Stella and Ben first met when they collaborated online during the COVID pandemic, drawing from classic R&B duets from the 1950s. With Stella’s background in jazz and love for blues, and Ben’s background in blues with a love of jazz, they met musically in the middle. Now they have released their first recording together, “Waiting Just for You.”
