Twelfth Pianists Benefit
The finest artists from Lake and Mendocino counties and from New York City, come together at the grand piano to play and share stories in a fundraising benefit for the Soper Reese Theatre renovation and Lake County Friends of Mendocino College student scholarships. All six pianists will converse about their life in music and play a variety of musical genres.
This Year’s Musicians
Elena Casanova is a musician, educator, and performer who delivers classical, Cuban classical and jazz with unbreakable spirit and engaging style.
Wendy DeWitt, musician and teacher known as the Queen of Boogie Woogie, reflects a piano style influenced by the greats of Chicago blues and Texas boogie woogie.
Tom Ganoung, co-founder of the Ukiah School of Music, is a composer, performer of rock and classical music who instructs piano, keyboard, and composition.
Elizabeth MacDougall is a classical musician and piano instructor at Mendocino College very tuned in to what each student requires.
Ben Rosenblum is an award-winning New York City jazz pianist and accordionist described as “mature beyond his years.”
Benjamin Rueb began as a young person playing Bach preludes and has been teaching classical music to younger generations for more than twenty years.
