“Through the Curtain of the Soper Reese” is a short documentary that explores the heart and
history of the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport. Blending personal stories, archival imagery and vivid
performances, the film reveals how a once-fading local venue became a beacon of community pride and
artistic expression. Through the voices of those who revived and sustain it, the documentary celebrates
the power of creativity, volunteerism and resilience – reminding us that the arts are not just about
performance, but about belonging.” Miguel Amodio, filmmaker.

This will be a fundraising event to support the renovation of the theatre.
