This 1947 comedy/mystery, starring Myrna Loy and William Powell, is the last entry in MGM’s “Thin Man” series. It features older, but no less glamorous and sophisticated, Nick and Nora Charles, this time trying to solve a murder on a gambling ship. Loy and Powell make the most of the famous Thin Man husband-wife banter, and Asta is on hand as always. The cast also includes Dean Stockwell as the Charles’ 11 year old son, and Keenan Wynn as a hepcat jazz clarinetist.
