Matilda, The Musical

LCTC is proud to present the stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book which tells the story of a brilliant young girl who uses her amazing abilities to overcome difficult circumstances.  The musical features catchy songs and a theme of resilience in the face of adversity. It’s the story of a young, exceptionally intelligent girl named Matilda Wormwood who faces neglect from her awful parents and a tyrannical headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, at school, but uses her vivid imagination and newfound telekinetic powers to stand up for herself and those around her, ultimately finding solace and support from her kind teacher, Miss Honey; the musical is known for its catchy songs, witty dialogue, and a blend of dark humor and heartwarming moments, highlighting the power of resilience and the importance of fighting against injustice.
