Jazz & Jokes pairs clean, smart comedy from Marc Yaffee with luscious live jazz guitar and vocals by Alicyn Yaffee. This father-daughter duo delivers a warm, funny, and feel-good show blending laughter, music, and great energy for all ages. Don’t miss this return engagement of these former longtime Lake County’s residents.
Alicyn Yaffee is a 2009 graduate of Kelseyville High School. She started her music career studying under Jim Williams in Lakeport and was in the high school jazz band under the direction of Tom Aiken. Alicyn now resides in New York City and has toured throughout the U.S. and Europe, showcasing her skills on the guitar, vocals and bass. She’s performed at such notable venues as Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Birdland jazz club, Minton’s Playhouse and Carnegie Hall.
Marc Yaffee, Alicyn’s father, is a 24 year resident of Lake County and former Lakeport DMV Driving Examiner who started comedy in 1999 after he discovered his ability to make traffic violator school students laugh. Marc is the co-star of the historic Showtime special, Goin’ Native, and can be heard on SiriusXM satellite radio. He has had shows in 43 U.S. states and 11 countries where he enjoys skewering sacred cows, dissecting societal stupidities and confronting common frustrations, all with humanity and humor.
