DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Lake County Symphony Association\nSunday, December 22, 2024\n2:00 pm   Doors open at 1:30 pm\n$25  General Reserved\n$30  Premium Reserved\n$5  Discount for LCSA members\nTICKETS\nSymphony conductor and musical director John Parkinson is planning a selection of festive traditional holiday orchestral music, along with entertainment by two outstanding local vocalists, Funky Dozen members Cynthia Rose and Anthony Neves, who were also part of last year’s holiday concert. Rose will sing “Santa Baby” and Rose and Neves pair up to sing “Baby It’s Cold Outside.” Both songs have new vocal arrangements by Parkinson.\nThe audience can expect a rousing medley of familiar Christmas favorites, including “A Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson (1908-1975); “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” by Leon Jessel, arranged by Ralph Ford; and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Eddie Pola and George Wyle, arranged by Bob Cerulli.\nParkinson’s unique arrangement of “A Cowboy Christmas” will again be part of the program and should delight lovers of the Old West. He will also lead the orchestra in a new arrangement of “Feliz Navidad” in a Latin Jazz style.  In addition, everyone is invited to participate in the carol sing-along, as well as Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus,” the memorable finale to Handel’s “Messiah.”\n
